I have a new best friend!

My new life has started with my new best friend, my gastric band.  I had it fitted last Thursday 8th July, and I know that as long as we remain good friends and basically, I do what it tells me, then we will get on just fine and I will emerge as a mini me. 

Still going through the early stages and on liquids only for 2 weeks then 4 weeks on sloppy food but as I am not experiencing any hunger (long may that continue) I have to remind myself to have my 'drinks'.

Well that's me trained in Reiki now, at level 1 anyway. It's very relaxing and I am looking for volunteers to practice on for the price of a cup of tea!!!! Enjoying the daily meditations and as I now have high blood pressure it can only help to relax me a bit. Needing an operation and have an appointment with Bupa next week (at least the work is good for something) so fingers crossed although I am sure he will insist on some weight loss first.
Been on 2 weeks leave from work (going back on Monday - boo-hoo) and read a wonderful book called The Other Hand by Chris Cleave. All I will say is that I think everyone should read it before criticising illegal immigration and asylum seekers. It is a very humbling and emotional story.
Off to have some late dinner and watch mindless soaps etc. before bed. I really know how to party on a Friday night eh!!

Well, I've decided to take a course in Reiki and become more self aware. Who knows, once I sort myself out I might even be able to help others if I work at it. I must be useful for something.....

If there's anyone there.....

Why is it that ITV insist on spoiling certain tv programmes by shrinking the credits to a miniscule size in the corner of the screen just when I think I have recognised someone in the programme and want to check their name in the credits? Is it just me or is anyone else frustrated by this?
